MFLA Outreach
One of the goals of the
current Board of Directors of MFLA is to reach out to more foreign language
teachers across the state, particularly to those who may not have ever
attended a MFLA conference. To meet
that goal, the Board invited teachers from the Eastern Shore to a dinner at a
local restaurant in Salisbury
on the evening before their monthly Board meeting. Many Board members warmly greeted teachers
from Worcester, Wicomico and Dorchester Counties. We talked about the benefits of membership
in MFLA and asked the guests how MFLA could better serve them. The Board is actively working on a protocol
that can be replicated across the state and is hoping to do something similar
in the far western counties in May.
Everyone felt that the dinner was delicious and that the company was
great! We look forward to taking the
“show” on the road as often as possible.
