MFLA awards and scholarships now available

MFLA members in good standing may now apply for these four awards this spring! All applications are due no later than April 30, 2024.

The Maryland Language Teacher of the Year -The first step on the path to becoming the 2024 ACTFL Language Teacher of the Year; includes funds to attend NECTFL as the Maryland candidate

The Celeste Carr Study Abroad Scholarship- Funds to study abroad

The Dora Kennedy New Teacher Scholarship- Funds for a new teacher to participate in a professional learning opportunity (program or conference)

The Visual Arts Contest- $50 to each winner at ES, MS, HS, College level; $100 to overall winner whose art appears on cover of conference program
